I started with Blogger too but have since moved on to host my own. I’m still fond of the platform, I just really like self hosting.

Hi Tom. Thanks for commenting. I heard a lot of bluegrass while in the States at various times, especially during my visit to Savannah, and I enjoyed it a lot. I'll certainly come over to your blog and will look forward to your book. Are you going to join us at Blogging Start?

I am a Doc who plays mandolin in a bluegrass band. Over the years many people encouraged me to write of my travels.

A book is coming along, and due out in 2009. I started the blog at the suggestion of my agent, partly to network, but also to try and learn how to write.

I did not realize how much fun it was going to be, and plan to continue my blog long after the book is complete.
